SHARK System Architecture (On-premise)#

Standard architecture for an on-premise installation.

Hardware and Technology#

SHARK is based on Java, Web Technologies like JavaScript, HTML5 and a Microsoft SQL Server as database.

SHARK Application Server#

The application has as minimum 2 services running:

  • The Shark Scheduler
  • The Shark Web Server

Optional:

  • Optional the Shark WCS System (Shark Control) may be running as well

Shark Web Server#

The Web Server has the following functionality:

  • The client installation.
  • The dispatcher. Taking care of communication between clients​, sequence of picking​, which VLM trays to fetch​, confirmation​
  • PDA Web Client (Gator) ​

Shark Scheduler#

Installed as a Windows Service.

Changing the SQL Server connection setup.
